Tammy Slater Keith

Painting display

Hailing from Canada’s West Coast, Tammy addresses the subjects of land, environment and the impart of man on our natural world. At one time a realist painter, after a catastrophic brain injury, she found her new niche in the colour and form of the Abstract world. She applies her fascination with textures and forms with an acrylic palette and a variety of mediums. Her references are global and therefore constantly changing.

Currently working out of Kemptville, Ontario, she has brought her vision to the community in many ways. Many of her efforts have had a charitable aspect, such as fund raising for animal rescues and the local library. She collaborated on murals for the town and participated in fundraising through art for refugees. Most recently, she was one of seven artists selected to participate in the areas first ever winter art show Froid’ Art.

Her philosophy is to present her vision of the world – its problems and its beauties – with abstract emotion and a prevailing sense of fun.
