Opened in 2003, On the Bend Sugar Shack started with 300 buckets on 18 acres of sugar bush. Today we now have 1000 taps, 100 on buckets, and 900 on high vacuum pipeline. A 3″ x 10″ wood pellet evaporator (the first one in Ontario) was installed in 2011. On the Bend Sugar Shack is also a member of the Eastern Ontario Model Forest.
