A self-taught artist, Julie Mercier uncovered her love of painting after retiring from a career of graphic, web and interface design. Drawn to animals and people, she likes to paint her subjects up close and personal so that the viewer can experience the soul of each being. She is currently on a journey of artistic discovery, finding her style in bold colours, and looser, less detailed strokes.
